Dr Tichaona Nyamundaya

Chief of Party

Dr Tichaona is a physician and public health professional with 15+ years of experience implementing HIV/TB prevention and C&T projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop national policies, strategies, guidelines, and tools for ART, MNCH integration, and TB control. 

Dr. Tafadzwa Priscilla Sibanda

Technical Director

Tafadzwa Priscilla Sibanda is a registered medical practitioner and Community Physician (Public Health) Specialist. She has and a wealth of experience acquired in 15 years from working at all the different levels of care in the public health sector in Zimbabwe with both the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and the Non-Governmental Organization sector. 

Prisca Makandwa

Finance and Operations Director

Prisca is a Chartered Accountant and holder of MSc Strategic Management with over 12 years of experience working as a senior finance professional in various organizations in Research and NGO sector.

Dr Khulamuzi Nyathi

Strategic Information, Evaluation and Learning Director.

Dr Khulamuzi Nyathi is the Strategic Information, Evaluation and Learning Director at ZHI ACCE project. He is a public health specialist, with a demonstrated track record of working in the medical, administrative management and capacity building of human resource for health, building Epidemic Preparedness & Response mechanism whilst maintaining Critical Basic Services Provision.

Chief of Party

Dominica Dhakwa, MSc, PMD Pro, is a seasoned senior level development practitioner with 21 years of progressive program management experience spanning Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. 

Kennedy Yogo

Deputy Chief of Party

Kennedy is responsible for supporting the Chief of Party (COP) in the day-to-day management of the program and in supervising technical and administrative teams; supporting the COP to meet the program’s technical objectives, manage financial and human resources, maintain good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, manage donor reporting and ensure a high-quality delivery of services; as well as ensure all actions and interventions adhere to USAID rules and regulations. 

Florence Mudokwani

Technical Director

Florence is a seasoned Youth and Gender Development Specialist with a master’s in development studies and over 11 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large and complex USAID funded Projects. 

George Mutseyekwa

Financial Management And Operations Director

George Mutseyekwa is a highly experienced finance and operations professional who has worked in the development and financial sectors for over 15 years George is a qualified accountant who holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting Degree as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. 

Mafaune Haurovi William

Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning (MEL) Advisor

Haurovi is a public health specialist with over 16 years’ experience undertaking implementation research, strategic information evaluation, and behavior change communication programming to increase coverage and uptake of health services. 

Dr Tichaona Nyamundaya

ACCE Chief of Party

He is a physician and public health professional with 15+ years of experience implementing HIV/TB prevention and C&T projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop national policies, strategies, guidelines, and tools for ART, MNCH integration, and TB control. He joined the Ministry of Health and Child Care in 2006 as the Deputy National ART Coordinator and was instrumental in the scale up/rollout of ART in the public sector In Zimbabwe. He later joined EGPAF in 2009, were he rose through the ranks, from Technical Officer for HIV C&T to Country Manager. He joined Zimbabwe Health Interventions in October 2021 as the Chief of Party for the USAID funded PEPFAR HIV prevention, care, and treatment project. As Chief of Party he provides overall direction, thought leadership and management to the Project. He led the implementation of the HIV prevention, care, and treatment program to increase the availability, and to improve the quality, of care and support services for persons living with HIV. Through his work, Dr. Tichaona has contributed to Zimbabwe being an early adopter of novel solutions and innovations such as point-of-care CD4 (POC CD4), including Omega VISITECT AHD CD4, POC Early Infant Diagnosis and POC viral load, nurse-lead ART initiation, and decentralization of ART to primary health care facilities and DSD. He has vast knowledge of Zimbabwe’s health system, having worked at all levels of the health cascade. Dr. Tichaona is a member of several national, regional, and global TWGs/committees (e.g., eMTCT national validation committee, WHO Child and Adolescent TB working group, AHD TWG). He has many peer-reviewed publications and won the 2015 International Conference on AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections in Africa ‘Best Abstract Award.

Dr. Tafadzwa Priscilla Sibanda

Technical Director

Tafadzwa Priscilla Sibanda is a registered medical practitioner and Community Physician (Public Health) Specialist. She has and a wealth of experience acquired in 15 years from working at all the different levels of care in the public health sector in Zimbabwe with both the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and the Non-Governmental Organization sector. She thrives on ensuring that the population is provided with high quality and patient-centred care in a safe and conducive. In her last assignment she served as the National Medical Director for AHF Zimbabwe and led the team that supported the MOHCC ATP in the establishment of Centres of Excellence for HIV Prevention care and Treatment within the public health sector in Zimbabwe with emphasis placed on providing comprehensive integrated care under one shop. Tafadzwa is very good at networking and has collaborated with Ministry of Health and Child Care representatives as well as other implementing partners. She has also served in several National HIV Care and Treatment Technical working Groups (TWG) including Third Line ART TWG, Advanced HIV Disease TWG and Differentiated Service Delivery TWG. Tafadzwa is very passionate about local use of routinely available data for strengthening quality of both clinical care and programme performance. She is actively involved in operations research with several presentations at national and international conferences as well as publications in peer reviewed journals.

Prisca Makandwa

Finance and Operations Director

Prisca is a Chartered Accountant and holder of MSc Strategic Management with over 12 years of experience working as a senior finance professional in various organizations in Research and NGO sector. She has experience in auditing, compliance, systems set up, internal controls assessments and leading highly efficient finance and operations staff. She has managed stakeholder relations and clean audits during her 12 years of work in the Research and health NGO sector. She has assisted organizations in coming up with systems that are efficient and effective in managing donor funds leading to growth of the organizations. She has worked in programs and projects supporting the Ministry of Health and Child Care in close collaboration with various funding agencies like USAID, NIH, UNICEF, EU, and BURNET – AUSAID since 2009. She is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe and Women Chartered Accountants Network in Zimbabwe (WeCAN -Zimbabwe)

Dr Khulamuzi Nyathi

Strategic Information, Evaluation and Learning Director.

Dr Khulamuzi Nyathi is the Strategic Information, Evaluation and Learning Director at ZHI ACCE project. He is a public health specialist, with a demonstrated track record of working in the medical, administrative management and capacity building of human resource for health, building Epidemic Preparedness & Response mechanism whilst maintaining Critical Basic Services Provision. He has over 18 years’ experience working at all tiers of the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) from rural health facilities, to district, provincial/city and national levels and commands an excellent working knowledge of Zimbabwe’s health management systems. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health, one Diploma in HIV Management, and another in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing as well as being a medical doctor since year 2004. He has collaborated on thought leadership, knowledge sharing and technical assistance to the MoHCC as a Results Based Financing Health Specialist for the World Bank and Government of Zimbabwe co-funded Health Sector Development Support Project seconded to the Programme Coordination Unit by Cordaid. Prior to that he worked as the Assistant Director of Health Services in the Personal Health Branch of the City of Bulawayo’s Health Services Department

Dominica Dhakwa, MSc, PMD Pro, is a seasoned senior level development practitioner with 21 years of progressive program management experience spanning Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. She has knowledge, skills, and experience in visioning, leading, directing, and implementing development interventions at community, national, regional, and global levels. She brings a wealth of management and technical expertise to which she progressively directed and led large complex USG-funded projects. She has experience building teams that have contributed towards the strategic, programmatic, technical, and financial integrity of programs. She has excellent organization representation, and outstanding networking and relationship building skills. She was the Program Director of the DREAMS program under FHI360. Dominica oversees all aspects of the RISE Program, including programmatic, technical, finance and administration activities as the Chief of Party.

Kennedy Yogo

Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), DREAMS – RISE Program

As the DCOP, Kennedy is responsible for supporting the Chief of Party (COP) in the day-to-day management of the program and in supervising technical and administrative teams; supporting the COP to meet the program’s technical objectives, manage financial and human resources, maintain good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, manage donor reporting and ensure a high-quality delivery of services; as well as ensure all actions and interventions adhere to USAID rules and regulations. Kennedy is a seasoned program management specialist with over 17 years of progressive work experience in the management of large and complex donor funded public health and development programs. Fifteen of these years, he has spent in designing, planning, implementing, and managing United Sated Government (USG)/President Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) funded integrated HIV prevention, care, and treatment programs. Other programs that he has also managed include Countering Violent Extremism (CVE). He has a wealth of experience in the management of USG funded programs within consortium set-ups; program design and development; sub-award management; budget development and management; partnerships development and management; systems strengthening; and operations management. He is also well versed and experienced in the application of USAID rules and regulations in relation to Cooperative Agreements and Contracts. Prior to joining ZHI, Kennedy worked with Hedayah in Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a Program Manager where he was in charge of the day-to-day management of a USAID funded CVE program. He also worked with FHI 360 in Kenya in various capacities where he rose through the ranks to the position of Associate Director – Program Management. In addition, Kennedy has also worked as a program management and business development consultant with various organizations in Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. Kennedy holds a Master of Arts degree in Population Studies, Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies and is a Certified Public Accountant 1 (CPA 1).

Florence Mudokwani

Technical Director

Florence Mudokwani is a seasoned Youth and Gender Development Specialist with a master’s in development studies and over 11 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large and complex USAID funded Projects. Ms. Mudokwani is a seasoned Youth and Gender Development Specialist with a Masters in Development Studies and over 11 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large and complex USAID funded Projects. Over the past 11 years she has, in different capacities, contributed towards the successful implementation of the C_SAFE, FACE-Paediatric HIV and DREAMS Projects. She has skills in providing technical direction and leadership for youth, gender, HIV Prevention, ARSH, child protection, GBV prevention and response interventions for OVC and AGYW. During her tenure with the DREAMS Project, Ms. Florence has interpreted and translated complex technical guidance into user-friendly formats, supported drafting and review of technical content, designing, and delivered staff capacity building materials as well as mentoring and coaching staff. She is a dynamic trainer and has extensive experience engaging and working with community-based structures and partnership management. She has in-depth understanding and experience in implementing, leading, and coordinating HIV Prevention, ARSH, child protection, Education, GBV prevention response interventions for OVC and AGYW in culturally diverse communities and national levels in Zimbabwe. Florence has proven track record of providing technical assistance and oversight to government ministries and multiple partners to ensure design and delivery of evidence-based interventions in line with donor, organizational, country, and international best practices.

George Mutseyekwa

Financial Management And Operations Director

George Mutseyekwa is a highly experienced finance and operations professional who has worked in the development and financial sectors for over 15 years George is a qualified accountant who holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting Degree as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He is also a holder of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAZ) qualifications. Over the years he has acquired in depth knowledge and key skills in leadership, budget management, setting up internal controls, financial policies, and procedures. He has extensive financial management experience, navigating fluid and challenging operating contexts and managing complex projects and donor relations with multiple key donors, including USAID, PEPFAR, BHA, FFP, ECHO, FAO and UN. George is a qualified accountant who holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting Degree as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He is also a holder of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAZ) qualifications.

Monitoring, Evaluation, And Learning (MEL) Advisor

Haurovi is a public health specialist with over 16 years’ experience undertaking implementation research, strategic information evaluation, and behavior change communication programming to increase coverage and uptake of health services. His work has been focused on adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health, pediatric HIV, malaria prevention and control. Haurovi is leading the monitoring evaluation and learning activities for the Re-Ignite, Innovate, Sustain Evidence Based Interventions for HIV Prevention (RISE) program. He has vast experience working with communities, adolescent girls and young women, key populations. As a researcher he has several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. He holds a Master of Public Health (Field Epidemiology Training Program) degree, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and Health Promotion from the University of Zimbabwe. Haurovi has a good understanding of the United States of America (USG) and Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria (GFATM) funding rules and regulations.
